Whenever I shop online or browse through catalogs, I will always spend some time reading through the company’s testimonials from past customers. It is always easier to believe what real customers say regarding a particular product, rather than what the company who is selling it says. That said, you should try to use testimonials on your website, brochures and even during presentations. I think success stories are always good to gain the confidence of potential customers.


3. Image Is Everything

I believe how you dress and carry yourself reflects on your personality as well. For instance, if your finger nails are always dirty then it reflects that you do not care about personal hygiene. The same goes for a business. If you walk into a restaurant with roaches and flies everywhere, would you still ask for a meal or would you leave and call the health inspectors? Also, the product packaging must match the price tag. If you order a $500 necklace from an online store, would you expect it to arrive in a white plastic bag? Or a nicely wrapped box adorned with ribbons? This is especially true for online stores where the layout of your site is the first image you project to customers. So you would want to make that a nice image, but remember to keep things simple and don’t overdo it.


4. Know What You Are Talking About

Another important tip of my is you should always know your product inside out. The best is if you have personal knowledge and experience using the product. You can attend courses or conferences to gain extra knowledge so that you will be more confident when answering customers’ questions. You do not want to be labelled a fraud so if you do not have any time to learn about the product you are selling, then you should hire professionals to do it for you.


5. Bait Your Customers With Samples

This is an excellent . This works especially well if you are selling skincare products, hair products, perfumes or even cookies. You can pass out samples so that customers can try a little bit of the product and leave them wanting for more. Then hopefully they will purchase the products from you once they find out how wonderful your product is.
